Update

So it turns out that the girl in the other car was from Del Bonita (which is the border crossing closest to Magrath - south of Raymond, between Lethbridge and Cardston). She is 19 years old and she fell asleep driving. She apparently was on her way into the ditch on the wrong side of the road, tried to correct herself and hit Scott straight on. On the 5 p.m. news they showed the cars. Scott was in a small truck like a Ford Ranger and the cab wasn't even visible. Totally smashed into the box. The car the girl was driving basically lost the whole right side of her car. It was horrific to see and my heart is still aching. (Both of them were wearing seatbelts. But like the RCMP said, some accidents are so bad that seatbelts can't save you). Then I come to find out from Mike that he wasn't far in front of Scott. After he left the house here at 7:45 he drove to his parents and picked some stuff up and was probably on the road at 5 to 8 with the accident happening around 8 a.m. So it has hit a little too close to home and has made me count my blessings more than ever tonight. Just the thought of him passing that girl on the road makes me ill to even think of. The girl is still in critical condition and last I heard it wasn't looking good for her either.
